Functionalities

The Innobrix add-in has a number of buttons.

Export without options

Use this button to create a direct export of your current 3D view. This method of export is ideally suited for the BIM Publisher or Planconfigurator module. In contrast to models developed for the Home configurator, this method of export does not require that the into account the Model Groups systematics . Specify a file location where the resulting IBX file can be placed. The name of the IBX file corresponds to the name of the current Revit document.

Note: If the Revit document has not been saved, or does not have a valid file name, a generated name is automatically given to the IBX file.

Info

It is not necessary for this method of export to first perform the 'Prepare Document' action.

Prepare Document

This button injects the Innobrix parameters into the document which can then be used to tag Model Groups to provide a model with options options.

Since the release of version 2.0.0 of the Innobrix Revit Add-in, the Innobrix: Floor parameter is no longer injected into Model Groups.

Export with options

Export your Model Groups used to build your model to an IBX file to create a Configurable in Innobrix or update an existing model.

Context-sensitive

It is possible to create 2 types of export with this button:

  1. A total export in which all Model Groups (provided with fully completed Innobrix parameters) of one or more types found in the Revit document are included while exporting to an IBX file.

  2. A selective export based on the currently selected Model Groups. Within the currently selected Model Groups, all groups are exported that are correctly provided with completed Innobrix parameters.

Control

From version 2.0.0 of the Innobrix add-in for Revit, before an actual export is performed, the add-in first checks whether there are Model Groups present within the Revit document that contain exactly the same parameters. To prevent inaccuracies from being created in Innobrix being created, any duplicates should be fixed before the add-in allows it to export. Duplicates are seen if there are Model Groups present that have exact corresponding fillings of the Innobrix: Type(s), Innobrix: Column and Innobrix: Row parameters.

If the add-in detects duplicates, an error message will be displayed.

Model Group Check

It is recommended to create a Revit Schedule for checking to prevent or quickly detect these errors.
