1.4 - A site plan

The site plan or base layer

Now that the model looks good, only the site layout remains. To give your end user context you can use a 2D base layer.

This is simply an image that can show the real situation and sit "under" the home.

Such a base layer could be part of a plot layout or just a simple grass field-whatever suits your publication.

A site plan can be .jpg, .png, or .svg and can also be scaled uniformly. Rotation is also possible. Upload this base layer in the Plan Editor.

Module 1.4: The site!
How do you lay out the site?
STEP 7

Return to the Plan Editor and drag the site plan or base layer from your computer into the project's 3D environment. The image will appear.

If needed, scale it (hotkey S) and/or rotate it (hotkey R) via the -Gizmo.

You can also move the Home itself (hotkey G) and rotate it in the same way. (Scaling the home is not possible.)

Enter values manually

Besides scaling and rotating via the -Gizmo you can also enter a Rotation and Scale value manually in the Properties panel when the base layer is selected.
