1.4 - A situation drawing
The situational drawing or overlay
Now that the model has a nice look, only the layout of the actual situation remains. To give an image to your end user
you can use a 2D plot selector
.
This is actually nothing more than an image that can represent the actual situation and can be slid 'under' the house.
Such a overlay can be part of a subdivision, for example, or a simple lawn. This depends more or less on what you want to publish.
A situation drawing is accepted as .jpg
, .png
, and .svg
, and can also be scaled (uniformly). Rotation is also possible. This overlay
should be uploaded in the Plan-Editor
.
Return to the Plan-Editor
and drag the situation drawing or overlay from the folder on your computer into the 3D environment of the project. The image will now appear.
If necessary, you can scale the layer (via hotkey S
) and/or rotate (hotkey R
) via the -Gizmo
.
The House
itself can also be moved (via hotkey G
) and rotated in a similar way. (Of course, scaling is not possible.)
Besides scaling and rotating through the -Gizmo
it is also possible to manually enter a Rotation
and
Scale
value via the Properties
panel when the coaster is selected.
