Walk mode
Walk mode
The Walk mode
is a specific camera viewpoint used in the Viewer
to correctly visualise walking through the home. On desktop and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets
the control in the Viewer is emphatically done in a 'Google Street View'-like manner. Here, a circular icon is projected on the ground
projected indicating the spot you can 'jump' to.
In Virtual Reality ('VR')
this way is also applied but it is additionally possible to be able to physically move through space independently by
space by walking (to the extent that the only limitation is basically the physical constraints indicated by your headset).
Setting up walk mode
It is possible to set one so-called walk
indicator for all individual floor levels (minus 1 for the roof) of a house, block or building.
can be set. Setting the Loop mode
is done in the Configurable
editor of your model and can be found within the Loop transforms
header
under Configurable
in the scene hierarchy on the right-hand side of the screen.
You can recognise the loop
indicators by the 3D icons.
Each -icon has its own position and rotation value. You can possibly adjust these values by modifying them textually, but easier is usually simply to move these -icons by hand.
- Click on a -icon and drag on the individual levers of the -gizmo to set the walking mode for a chosen floor.
- Use the -rotate tool to have your
loop
indicator already looking in a specific direction.
You have a camera preview available at the bottom left of the screen that shows how it positions a visitor (for that chosen floor) when
that person chooses the Walk mode
.
